Optimized vbios settings for performance / power saving

Does it crash when you change settings on even 1 card, or only when you change settings on all cards?

there are no settings to change

Oh, lol.

Try WattTool

thanks will give it a shot

anything to watch out for?

Don’t pop the values too hard, you could blow your cards.
As always, use those tools with caution and a shot of Tabasco.

will do  and 20 more

  • Added VBIOS XFX R9 390 8GB

I only uploaded your original as well as a memshift version.
Maybe I will make an OC+FAN and PS version aswell.

i think memshift+FAN Riser+little bit OC(around 50 - 100 mem) bios is mostly needed, also a bios for lower volt and core spd would fit for some demands.

There will be a makeover for most of the VBIOS this weekend. I will try to fit the most common settings.

interesting, dont know if to wait for xfx rx 470 4gb or make my own one :stuck_out_tongue:

Which card do you have?
RX, RX XXX, Black Edition?

according to new egg, a white label in the backplate and box, its the RX XXX

Using the memshift version doesn’t seem to have any noticeable effect

Mining zcash does not profit very much of a changed memory timing.
If you fired up your miner just now, let it sit and work for a while.

The latest Claymore V8 gives me about 2 - 3 Sols extra with only memory tweaks.

For major improvement on the hashrate, you will have to overclock the GPU core.

I’m currently using Sapphire Nitro OC+ RX 480 8G and I’m getting 200 Sol/s using Claymore V8. my question is, is it possible to make my GPU consume less power but at the same time maintain current Sol/s?

Sure, by decreasing the GPU voltage.
You can try Sapphire TRIXX to recude by 50, 75 or even 100mV.

If you go too low, your GPU will just stop and your system propably crash.

oh I see, I’m gonna try it now. thank you so much for the info.

I did try to reduce my GPU Voltage using Trixx, applied it, then my GPU temp rises from 74 to 89 degrees. is there any way to reset the GPU to its stock settings?

Sure thing. TRIXX uses different settings for the FAN speeds.
Click on custom and create your own profile.

If you want to reset the settings, click on the Reset button.
