ok did 2 runs, first run, both did 20.4… second run both did 20.2

1st run
first terminal: Total 1812 solutions in 88724.6 ms (20.4 Sol/s)
second terminal: Total 1812 solutions in 88763.5 ms (20.4 Sol/s)

2nd run
first term: Total 1812 solutions in 89485.6 ms (20.2 Sol/s)
second term: Total 1812 solutions in 89516.0 ms (20.2 Sol/s)

so that means the rx480 that I have will do over 40 Sol/s?
thats amazing. just amazing.

my curiosity made me flip the bios to the nitro 480 OC and this is the result:

first term: Total 1812 solutions in 99803.3 ms (18.2 Sol/s)
second term: Total 1812 solutions in 99795.9 ms (18.2 Sol/s)

totaling 36.4

now im curious what the nitro 470 will do and what th gtr 480 8g will do, so Ill be back with another post in about 5 min, then another 5min after that one LOL

i did a second run on the unmodded 480 8g OC bios and got 18.4 on each, total 36.8 Sol/s

for the modded rx470 4g nitro, 1500 timings up, with slight core downclock and undervolt,

first term:Total 1812 solutions in 91502.6 ms (19.8 Sol/s)
second term:Total 1812 solutions in 91495.0 ms (19.8 Sol/s)
total: 39.6 Sols/s

second run
first terminal: Total 1812 solutions in 90966.1 ms (19.9 Sol/s)
second terminal: Total 1812 solutions in 90897.1 ms (19.9 Sol/s)
Total 39.8 Sols/s

unmodded OC bios was 33 Sol/s total for both runs, 16.5 each terminal.

nitro OC 470 4g on OC bios unmodded

first run
first terminal Total 1812 solutions in 109870.2 ms (16.5 Sol/s)
second terminal Total 1812 solutions in 109875.7 ms (16.5 Sol/s)
total 33 Sol/s

second run:
first term: Total 1812 solutions in 109787.8 ms (16.5 Sol/s)
second term: Total 1812 solutions in 109795.1 ms (16.5 Sol/s)
total: 33 Sols/s
so looks like the modded bios memory timings have a real advantage. with a good 3-4 Sols/s extra on each terminal, 6-8 Sol/s extra total for each run.

any results on the 470 8G?

Also how many watts your 480 and 470 using please?

:sob: ok thanks adaseb i go to buy sdd :ambulance: for try install ubuntu

hi gege
did you get your bios flash working?

Im not sure which miner is best for ubuntu, the nheqminer had a ubuntu release, but now that this is out we need to wait and see what miners integrat it I suppose.

You dont want to run Ubuntu in VMWare if you mine with ubuntu, but this solver could make it into windows miners in the future from what these guys are saying…

If you want to run a VM-windows/mac in Ubuntu it is possible, VMWare has a Linux version.

personally I really prefer Linux Mint to ubuntu though… that or Kubuntu

we should find out in 1-2 days which miners are best in windows and which are best in linux/ubuntu

 :+1: yes thanks you have really help me for etc 28-29 mh i like you cryptomined you make good job and help people

ok thanks but I do not know the universe ubuntu / linux, for now I will continue on windows, waiting for one of your video
:sourire:

I will post a how to install Linux Mint soon, you can try it, it is very nice and free.
personally Im enjoying Arch based Manjaro and Antergos more than the ubuntu distributions, but for someone new to Linux and have not used ubuntu, Linux Mint or Linux Kubuntu is a great place to start - they are 100% free to download and use, and you can install so much great free software on them also, all from easy to use software managers inside the operating system - much better than windows

glad to hear your flash worked

Yes, thats incredible. Greedy idiots.

Hey, now they get nothing instead of community credibility and $20k that’s how the cookie crumbles.

He could have simply added a 5% fee for mining to start and then decrease to 1% like all other miners as the benefit for creating a good miner. But $750K is insane. There are other 100 people developing miners and they will definitely be better than this one guy.
Goodluck to him but I did not like it at all.
