Dstm’s Zcash Cuda miner

I have ethos, just sarting 0.5.4 to try. I’ll know tomorrow if my average is better

Edit: finally since i updated to dstm my sysload in ethos is 3.7 instead 0.9 and the speed is the same. So for 1% more fees i dont think it’s a good thing for me. Just my point of view

Version 0.5.5
con: handle failure of dev share pool
con: disable reconnect limit
logfile: disable buffering

I tried it out at EthOS distro 1.2.6 and got around 2,5% less hashrate. So if dstm gets additional fee from hash we see it will be -4,5% comparing to EWBF. Am i getting something wrong?

In my case ethos 1.2.6 had dstm 0.5.3, i updated to 0.5.4. What was your version ?

fyi, zm is in /opt/miners/dstm-zcash/ folder

I can never get the dev fee to change or go away (flags --devfee 0) for EWBF in ethos, does anyone know how to change it?

@Yannick How do I update to 0.5.5 in Ethos?

when i updated ethos dstm was in version 0.5.4 now i updated it to 0.5.5 but didnt run it yet  i saw that even EWBF has lower hashrate after updating ethos. i dont know why but im getting more sols when i run ethos-overclock (even if i didnt change anything in local.conf) is it some kind of bug? and can someone help me and tell how to set flags to miners so they work correctly?

my local.conf looks like this:
globalminer ewbf-zcash
HASH ewbf-zcash=flags -solver 0 -eexit 1
maxgputemp 85
stratumproxy enabled
proxywallet xxxxxxx
HASH proxywallet xxxxx
HASH proxypool1 eu1-zcash.flypool.org:3333
HASH proxypool1 stratum.zpool.guru:3333
HASH proxypool1 zec-eu1.nanopool.org:6666
HASH proxypool2 zec-eu2.nanopool.org:6666
proxypool1 zen.suprnova.cc:3618
poolpass1 xxxxx
flags --cl-global-work 8192 --farm-recheck 100 -solver 0
globalfan 100
globalpowertune 205
cor XXXXXX 2120 2120 2120 2120 2080 2080
HASH globalcore 2080
globalmem 4655
autoreboot 3

(i dont know why hash change letters scale :P)

here you have how to update miners

dstm-zcash only seems to start GPU0 even though it sees all GPU’s when I run show-miner, anyone else with this problem?

@novemberdelta241

sudo update-miners && sudo service ethos-miner-monitor restart

or manualy:
You need to send dstm 0.5.5 to ethos. So find and download the last version. The name of file is zm_xxxx unzip content and here is an exemple if the file is in c:\zm

Open a dos prompt and paste this line. replace ip with your ethos ip adresse

pscp C:\zm\zm ethos@192.168.1.143:/opt/miners/dstm-zcash/

after you will prompt for a login and password…
ethos
live

EWBF, on my side it’s same speed than before. I dont know why you have slower speed! :frowning:

now i managed to get almost same speed as befor but as i said i need to do sudo ethos-overclock after restart of my rig because if not i get 4220-4240sols instead of 4290-4300. How should i write line in my local.conf (or ewbf conf) to force -solver 0? its always at auto setting

Version 0.5.6
reduce cpu load
minor performance improvements

This release contains many internal optimizations. CPU load is lower by about 15%-20% now. The solver contains some minor performance improvements - it’s about 2%-2.5% on an 1060 and about 0.2% on faster GPUs. People on overclocked systems may have to readjust their setting since this version ‘pushes’ the GPUs slightly more.

Very nice! I can confirm so far. Thumbs up!
1060 3GB now became faster than 970.

It also brings down 970 Temps and Power usage a little. It seems.
This helps a lot with one card of mines.
No problems with overclocking (with low power) to the max. Clocks are a bit higher and stable

But as I am surfing on a mining card. I would like a feature to lower intensity on one card if possible, as it now got more unresponsive.

I second the big thumbs up! I was having CPU load issues on a G4400, now it’s cleared up and a higher hashrate as well. Great work!!!

I’m going to test this out. I had switched back to ewbf after the outage and have been enjoying the ewbf stability. Hopefully this fixes those issues!

I have seen allot of people saying that dstm are reporting higher sol/s then it actually does.

what do you guys think about this.

yea but I just wanted to know what other people here thought about that.

and aren’t you spamming this way to much!!!

Just sended this message to all forums. I do it once in a month.
Because, honestly, im interested in donators and product is really very well.
You can try it too. But please, read carefully instruction.

Because of my product use near 300 clients, mostly on Dstm, i can say that it is good and you just must try it.
if you have 1060-1080 cards (not 1080ti) you will see hashrate increasing. On 1080ti will be the same as on Ewbf, or little bit lower.

I think you do it more then once a months but if it’s spamming or not is not me to decide.

but do you see your hashrate increase on the client side or the pool side?
