Local internet conditions have degraded to being little better than dail-up and I’m going through a VPN that currently exits in California but should that stop zcashd from getting past 49369? Is the next block larger than normal?

that’ll be a lot easier to answer when @lustro adds being able to go to a particular block by block height rather than just by block hash in the next api release, as he’s said he might (I wanted to be able to answer questions like that while working on my port of zcash to windows recently…like, what’s so special about the block at height 15000?)
