Optimized vbios settings for performance / power saving

You can use GPU-Z to show which memory your cards have.

For the roms, you will have to use the powersave versions.
Where did you get this list with details?
I think I have to go into some serious competition here.

Thanks.

And last question  which program to adjust core and memory clock (or they are set with updated bios?)

List is here:

Oh cool I am in a wiki.

For my rigs I use Sapphire Trixx to adjust clock speeds and voltage.

Yep, by me  That’s my card.
Actually i’m getting 185 sols with 106 wats

Cool.

But there is some headroom for improvement.
Am at work now. Will leave you a message later. If you are interrested, we can craft a new rom.

I have to beat ByteKingz!

My primary target is lowest power usage:)

Lowest power consumption with highest possible hashrate.
That is my target as well.

U think it’s safe to use msi 390 bios for gigabyte card?

If the memory type matches, it should work.

But you can never know how voltage regulation and load calibration reacts. There might be differences from MSI to Gigabyte.

I flashed a MSI rom to my Sapphire RX470, which just bricked the card.
A XFX rom worked just fine. I think XFX uses mosty reference VBIOS settings.

Ok, so if i give You stock R390 room, can You make mem shift mod?

Sure.

You can have request a rom here. I will have a look at it when I have some time.
I will have to finish my tutorial on HEX modding fist. :stuck_out_tongue:

Ok, that’s the one i have - https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/182006/Gigabyte.R9390.8192.160115.rom

Could You make mem shift ?

Is the above answer true for all the RX 480 Reference cards? I have a rig with 6, but I have a few XFX, Sapphire and Gigabyte. All are reference models with 8GB of RAM. Was wondering if I could flash the XFX or Sapphire memshift ROM to all the cards. If not, how can I tell which card is which one, i.e. GPU0 in atflash is xfx or Sapphire? Thanks!

Set fan to full speed

I do not know if the statement holds true for all Reference cards.

But you can check and compate advanced informations about each adapter by using this command:

ATIFlash.exe -ai 0
ATIFlash.exe -ai 1
ATIFlash.exe -ai 2

etc.

Hey @AnorakSupra I tried 2 bios and both of them was ok at flash.

However after reboot it gave hardware error code 43. I can not mine. How to fix it?

I had to return original bios :frowning:

Sounds like you need to update to latest drivers or google for how to use bios mods with older drivers as there is a signature check done for older drivers but AMD removed this check in newer drivers

do i need to update with original bios or after flash bios? @Stealth8368

Indeed. That did the trick for me aswell when I had this problem. :kissing_heart:
You can flash the card with the new rom, and reinstall the drivers after a reboot.

Any idea why i see like this, ?

I don’t see all the cards, also no flash button
